First you hold the lighter with all your fingers except the pinky. Thumb on the hinges, index on the cap, and middle & ring finger on the body. Open your lighter with your index finger. Then put your middle finger on the top of the flint wheel. Now you hit the base with your other hand causing the lighter to light. Then you loosen your grip and hit the base again causing the lighter to fly & spin in the air. Catch it and close it.
