The lighter sits on a bar counter, with the body to the left, and the top to the right, and with the hinges pointing towards you. Grab the lighter with your right hand, using your index, middle and pinkie fingers on the side opposite the hinge, your ring finger and thumb on the side closest to you. Open the lighter while turning your hand upwards, and use your middle finger to strike the flint wheel.
