This particular trick is one of the all time favorites on lightertricks.com. It is important to remember that this trick was submitted /invented a long time ago and that the technique used led to an avalanche of tricks using its basic move. If you perform this trick with a relaxed attitude, you will stun your audience. 1. In your dominant hand, position the lighter in between your index, middle and third fingers, creating a triangle, hinge pointing up, with the lid towards your pinkie. Let the lighter rest on the top of your index and third finger, while your middle finger holds the lighter upright. 2. “Break” open the lighter, by applying pressure on the middle finger, and slightly spreading your third and index fingers. Hold this position for the next three hours……[just kidding]. 3. When the lighter opens, turn your hand 180 degrees so the palm is facing up, and let the lighter slip in-between your index and middle finger. When stable, move your index finger up to the bottom corner of the case opposite the hinge. 4. You have just reached the all-important part of the trick where the truly talented will be rewarded. The losers will be stripped from any previously earned street cred and forced to exchange their lighter for a yo-yo. In other words, it’s time to ignite the darn thing! To do this, apply pressure on the index finger, and push the lighter downwards, forcing the flint wheel to strike against the flesh directly underneath the index finger. 5. As it ignites, rotate the lighter upwards and be prepared for the admiration of your stunned audience.
