Hold lighter (top right corner) between index finger and thumb, with the hinge pointing inwards. Jerk your hand down and twist your hand so that the body of the lighter sits in the palm of your hand. Light with ring finger. To close (this is the hard bit), flip the lighter backwards with a strong wrist jerk, while it is still in-between thumb and index finger. It should pass through the gap created between your thumb and index finger. If done just right, it should snap shut. It takes practice to shut it, but it looks cool.
