This trick is kinda hard to get at first. The basic skill needed is to be able to pull the cap apart from the body just by pulling your fingers apart with your fingers glued to the surface of the lighter. Here’s how to do it: Start off with the lighter pushed horizontally against your middle finger. Index and ring finger on the far side. The hinges should be pointing downwards, while the cap should be pointing to your thumb. Push your index and ring finger against the surface of the cap/body. Now pull the two fingers apart to separate the cap from the body. Open it halfway, and then let the body of the lighter rotate around your middle finger by pushing the base of the body using your ring finger. The lighter should now sit on the inside of your palm. Ignite with thumb. Then stretch out your index finger and get hold of the far side of the cap. Push the cap down and let the body of the lighter rotate around your middle finger so it ends up over by the thumb - you holding on to the cap with thumb and middle finger. Close by tilting your hand downwards.
